About Us:
After forming in the summer of 2022, Addicus quickly released their first self produced EP. Gaining the attention of some of the local scene they played their first show in February the following year with Liquid Mike. In the next couple months they'd find themselves opening a show with Sorry Mom, Cherry Glazerr, and Destroy Boys. Once Addicus started releasing music and playing shows, they did not stop. They released their 2nd EP in April and their 3rd EP in August while playing more and more gigs throughout the Upper Peninsula. Eventually, this lead them downstate MI with The Casper Fight Scene where they made their first in person connection with the Emo scene in the fall of 2023.
In the transition from 2023 to 2024 before they released their first album, Addicus released a couple non-album singles. One of those tracks being ‘Trolls in My Closet’ featuring Mike Maple of Liquid Mike. In February 2024 the recording of Addicus' self-titled debut begun. The following month they would play their first fest in Lansing, MI with FinalBossFight!, Tequila Mockingbird, Clipboards, No Problemo, Manor Gates, Former Critics,… etc. This fest was a pre Stoop Fest show to showcase some of the bands playing. Out of town shows became more frequent for the band while rolling out their first LP for July 2024.
As the new year began in 2025 so did the process of recording their sophomore album. Addicus started performing their new songs as soon as possible, stopping by Milwaukee and Detroit between playing in the Upper Peninsula in the early part of the year. Later on, they made their way around the Great Lakes for a weekend run in August before releasing their 2nd LP ‘A Story About…’ the following month. After releasing their new LP, Addicus played a stretch of shows including Yoop Fest, Luova Fest, and Bash at the Bay. Addicus celebrated their 2nd LP with a release show in January of 2026 featuring a new line up. Josh's younger brother Isaac stepped in on drums, allowing Josh to fully transition to guitar shortly before recruiting Nathan to play bass. Soon after Addicus would find themselves supporting the band Rocket at NMU in March.
